Permits Filed for 219 Jay Street in Downtown Brooklyn – New York YIMBY


Permits have been filed for a 13-story residential building at 219 Jay Street in Downtown Brooklyn. Located at the intersection of Chapel Street and Jay Street, the corner lot is a five-minute walk from the High Street-Brooklyn Bridge subway station, serviced by the A and C trains. Tankhouse Development under the 450WSP LLC is listed as the owner behind the applications.
The proposed 130-foot-tall development will yield 54,118 square feet, with 36,191 square feet designated for residential space. The building will have 27 residences, most likely condos based on the average unit scope of 1,340 square feet. The concrete-based structure will also have a cellar but no accessory parking.
Kane Architecture and Urban Design is listed as the architect of record.
Demolition permits have not been filed yet. Completion is expected by 2022.
