A principal at Fender Katsalidis, star of Selling in the City, and the designer behind some of the best interiors and hotels in Australia – Rosie Morley shares her favourite spots to eat, stay and drink for the Habitus Tastemaker’s Guide.

With a bubbly personality and a keen eye for luxurious design, interior designer Rosie Morley is the perfect person to share her favourite hot spots as part of the Habitus Tastemaker’s Guide.

A principal at leading Australian architecture and design firm Fender Katsalidis, Morley works across a range of projects, bringing her extensive experience to everything she touches.

Once calling London home, Morley now lives in Trentham, a few hours out of Melbourne – a thriving regional community with plenty of great things to see and do.

THE LOCAL LIST

Coffee shop

Trentham General – the coffee is consistently excellent, high-quality food farmed from the region, and the team are always up for a chat. Set in a relaxed and unpretentious interior which works well with such an unconventional layout (repurposed from the old Bank of Australia).

Restaurant

Split between Midnight Starling (Kyneton) and Kuzu Izakaya (Woodend). Midnight Starling always serves up rich, high-calibre dishes and the environment is straight out of a classic French bistrotheque. Kuzu is inconspicuously tucked away, the food is clean and uncomplicated and modern.
