Country singer-turned-celebrity chef Trisha Yearwood has placed her historic Tennessee home of 23 years on the market with a $4.5 million price tag. The residence’s claim to fame—aside from being the dwelling of country music royalty—is that it’s the setting of Yearwood’s Emmy-winning Food Network program, Trisha’s Southern Kitchen. Naturally, the 1920-built abode boasts an eat-in kitchen fit for a skilled home cook.
“It’s bittersweet to sell this place that means so much to me,” the Grammy winner told People. The gated, 6,553-square-foot traditional-style home is located in Brentwood, a suburb just outside Nashville. Yearwood bought the home in 2000 for slightly under $1.8 million, records show. In the two decades since, the two-story house has been featured in several of her cookbooks, in addition to serving as her show’s shoot location for 11 of its 17 seasons.
Around the same time she bought the property, Yearwood began a relationship with fellow country crooner Garth Brooks. “I was looking for a place that would be my sanctuary,” she told People. “The minute I stepped foot inside, I knew this was the place.” The couple married in 2005 and Yearwood relocated to Brooks’s Oklahoma estate. “Even when I moved to Oklahoma, I just couldn’t part with this house. Garth and I would make the house home base when we were in Nashville working on music or visiting friends,” she said.

In 2014, the pair moved back into the white two-story abode, which houses five bedrooms and seven bathrooms. In true Southern fashion, the dwelling has a spacious covered front porch, plus two more at the back of the house. Upon entering, guests are greeted by a formal living room with a wood-burning fireplace. On the opposite side of the entrance foyer, a windowed library offers cozy hardwood trim and matching floor-to-ceiling built-in bookshelves that border another large fireplace. The home’s extended chef’s kitchen features Wolf appliances including a six-burner cooktop, double ovens, and a warming drawer.
The main floor also houses a formal dining room, two sunrooms, a spacious primary suite with dual bathrooms, and several bonus living spaces. A kidney bean-shaped swimming pool and a pool house are highlights of the property’s tree-lined outdoor area.
